A number of different options are open to you if you have a no fault car accident.
Option one is to report the accident to your own insurance company if you are insured on a comprehensive basis. The disadvantage of doing so is that your insurer will allocate the vehicle repair to one of their own network repairers. These garages are paid a very low labour rate so they cannot afford to spend too much time on repairing your car. Also the repairs will be assessed by one of your insurance company’s own engineers so you can guarantee that the car will be put back onto the road the cheapest way possible.
If you put your car through your own insurers you will also have to pay any excess on your policy which you will have to recover yourself from the third party insurer.
Option two is to have your car repaired through a claims management service such as Vamco. We will arrange for your car to be inspected by an independent engineer who will recommend the best way to repair your car to the best possible condition. Also the repairer will be paid the proper cost of repair so he can afford to spend more time and care repairing your car.
The cost is recovered directly from the third party insurer so you don’t have to worry about paying the excess on your policy.
Your car is a valuable asset and if it has been damaged in a road traffic accident that was not your fault you have every right to ensure it is properly repaired as part of your claim.
Vamco frequently arranges repairs for the victims of no fault car and motorcycle accident claims. All the costs including the engineer inspection charges are recovered from the at fault driver’s insurers. Our clients do not pay the excess on their policy, and all costs are recovered by Vamco free of charge to our no fault clients.
