Recently a woman in her late 40s was involved in a head on collision and ended up being given a multi million pound award due to her injuries.
The accident took place in Basildon in Essex, and left the unnamed woman with life altering injuries, after a pensioner ran his car head on into hers after passing out in charge of his vehicle.
According to reports the 76 year old had a heart defect and this could be the reason that he had lost consciousness, leading to the accident. He died at the scene and the woman was airlifted to Queen’s Hospital in Romford, where medical staff attended to her injuries.
She suffered significant personal injury and now must use a wheelchair; she has speech difficulties, eyesight problems and has some paralysis on the left side of her body.
The woman was able to make a car accident claim though and succeeded in getting a multi million pound payout as compensation for the hardship and injury she has had to endure.
